It has been a yearly tradition of Nature’s Table Franchise Company to support the incredible mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. During this Holiday Season, we invite our Franchisees and Patrons to join us in extending good will by making a tax deductible, charitable donation to help make a difference in the lives of individuals touched by the work at St. Jude.

The support of caring people like you helps ensure that St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will continue its lifesaving mission of finding cures and saving children. St. Jude founder Danny Thomas believed that “no child should die in the dawn of life,” and your donations help bring us closer to the day when every precious life can be saved.

How do your donations help?

Thanks to donors, St. Jude families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance, and no child is ever denied treatment because of the family’s inability to pay.

Your donations also help St. Jude cover other costs a family typically incurs while their child is being treated at the hospital, including travel, housing and food.

At St. Jude, donor dollars help fuel the groundbreaking research that leads to pioneering care and treatments for childhood cancer and other deadly diseases.

If you are interested in making a donation to support St. Jude Hospital, please click on the link below. Nature’s Table extends a heartfelt thank you for your support.

July 2011-Orlando, FL
Nature’s Table- Foam vs. Paper
Why we made the switch

With a name like Nature’s Table, we’re constantly looking for better ways to be good stewards to our environment. It’s been a concern of ours-how to deliver a drink product in a container that left a smaller footprint on the earth? It is with great pride that we announce our decision to move from foam to paper cups. We understand that foam, plastic and paper cups go into landfills. Our intent is to present an alternative option that is a compostable and recyclable product.

In our search, we found the ecotainer®. This paper cup uses a process that lowers the “upstream” effect on the environment. ecotainer® is made from fully renewable resources, sustainable wood fiber and plastic coating made from plants.

Not only did Nature’s Table elect to move to a paper cup and soup bowl, we chose a coating that is not made out of petro-chemicals, as used in most coated containers. Ingeo® is the moisture barrier that ecotainer® uses, and is a plant-based polylactic acid (PLA) coating from fully renewable resources. It meets the American Society for Testing of Materials (ASTM) standards for compostability, is certified by the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) and the fiber used meets the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI) standards. Nature’s Table elected to go with a product that sets the standard when it comes to the “green” movement.

-Made with fully renewable materials

-Meets ASTM standard for compostability

-Certified by the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI)

-Compostable in most commercial composting facilities

The clear cold drink lids are also made from polylactic acid (PLA) and are compostable. The introduction of these cups, soup bowls and lids in a Nature’s Table near you will take place during the 2nd half of 2011.

About International Paper’s ecotainer®

International Paper’s ecotainer family of products includes hot cups, hot cup lids, Cup Buddy® sleeves, cold cups and soup containers. ecotainer products meet the ASTM D6400 standard for compostability and are widely accepted by commercial composting facilities. All ecotainer products are made from renewable resources such as Ingeo biopolymer from NatureWorks LLC, a fully renewable, plant-based material and paperboard made with trees from responsibly managed forests that meet the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®) standard
