The event took place on February 11th, 2012 and raised money to provide resources that support academic excellence, increase classroom and teaching enhancements, and for awarding scholarships. A heartfelt thank you goes to the Bennett’s for organizing this most worthy cause and providing Seminole State College with continued support!

Nature’s Table Opens Two on January 10th 2012

Nature’s Table was so excited to opened two new locations on January 10th, 2012, both to two current Franchisees. One location is at the Corporate Center IV Building in Tampa Florida and the second is located in Englewood, Colorado.

Congratulations goes to two of our current franchisees who both have just opened new locations!

First, the owners of the Colorado Springs location just celebrated their grand opening of their second location in Englewood Colorado. This location will be owned and operated by their son, Jeramie.

Also, another grand opening took place January 10th at the Corporate Center IV building in Tampa, Florida. They are already planning another opening in the Tampa area scheduled for May.

We wish both locations continued success!!!!

Cathy Classic 2011 Golf Tournament

Hats off to the Hasselberger family for organizing the 12th annual Cathy Classic 2011 Golf Tournament to Honor Dave’s sister, Cathy. The event was a huge success and included 80 Golfers with 20 Volunteers at the Kissimmee Bay Country Club. All proceeds are donated to the John Wayne Cancer Institute, in Santa Monica, California for melanoma research in Cathy’s name.

Please mark your calendars for next year, Saturday November 10 2012 at Kissimmee Bay Country Club. Thank you to all who supported this wonderful cause.

Ride2Recovery

Dick Larsen, Barb Larsen and Cynthia Morrell participated in the 2nd annual Ride2Recovery-Seminole Cyclefest 24 mile bike ride on October 2, 2011 in Lake Mary, FL.

Ride2Recovery is produced by the Fitness Challenge Foundation (501C3) in partnership with the Military and VA Volunteer Service Office, to benefit Mental and Physical Rehabilitation Programs that feature cycling as the core activity.

National Harbor Opens-no thanks to Hurricane Irene

Nature’s Table Franchise Company welcomes our newest location in the National Harbor area of Maryland. While we love being ushered into a new town with fanfare, we would have rather not shared the stage with Hurricane Irene! Thankfully, she did not undo all the preparations we made just prior to her arrival. National Harbor Nature’s Table Cafe-keeps it fresh for the DC area just in time for Labor Day weekend 2011!

Why we made the switch

With a name like Nature’s Table, we’re constantly looking for better ways to be good stewards to our environment. It’s been a concern of ours-how to deliver a drink product in a container that left a smaller footprint on the earth? It is with great pride that we announce our decision to move from foam to paper cups. We understand that foam, plastic and paper cups go into landfills. Our intent is to present an alternative option that is a compostable and recyclable product.

In our search, we found the ecotainer^®. This paper cup uses a process that lowers the “upstream” effect on the environment. ecotainer^® is made from fully renewable resources, sustainable wood fiber and plastic coating made from plants.

Not only did Nature’s Table elect to move to a paper cup and soup bowl, we chose a coating that is not made out of petro-chemicals, as used in most coated containers. Ingeo^® is the moisture barrier that ecotainer^® uses, and is a plant-based polylactic acid (PLA) coating from fully renewable resources. It meets the American Society for Testing of Materials (ASTM) standards for compostability, is certified by the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) and the fiber used meets the Sustainable Forestry Initiative^® (SFI) standards. Nature’s Table elected to go with a product that sets the standard when it comes to the “green” movement.

The clear cold drink lids are also made from polylactic acid (PLA) and are compostable. The introduction of these cups, soup bowls and lids in a Nature’s Table near you will take place during the 2^nd half of 2011.

Nature’s Table opens in the FIS building in Maitland/Orlando

Orlando’s newest Nature’s Table has opened in the FIS building on Summit Park Drive. The new cafe sports the brand’s new color scheme, new menu items, a warm and comfortable dining area and soon to be outdoor seating. Nature’s Table introduces the TurboChef appliance which has revolutionized the hot sandwich industry. Open Monday-Friday 7am-4pm. This is a corporately owned and operated location and will provide training for future franchisees.
